Position Overview:
TikTok is seeking a talented and motivated Finance Business Partner to join our team, who will be responsible for supporting our live business in multiple European countries while drawing upon and referencing financial practices from diverse international contexts. This role constitutes an individual contributor position and holds significant importance within the global Finance Business Partner team. It presents ample opportunities for learning and personal growth within a high-impact environment.
Finance BP and Business FP&A is a sub-department of Finance. It aims to improve management efficiency, reduce financial risks and strengthen budget control by providing business analysis and insights, and management reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Liaison: Act as the key point of contact for the European LIVE business team, establishing strong relationships with departments globally. Facilitate collaboration to address financial requirements and provide expert guidance.
- Financial Analysis: Develop a profound understanding of business logic and key stakeholders. Conduct comparative analyses of global business financial metrics from a regional standpoint. Generate insightful financial observations and analysis reports to guide management decisions.
- Financial Mindset Cultivation: Foster a financial mindset within business teams through active engagement in discussions, cross-functional partnerships, and clear communication. Conduct comprehensive financial reviews and risk evaluations for expenditures, promptly sharing insights with the business.
- Budget Management: Develop annual and rolling budgets by gathering pertinent data and closely monitoring budgetary performance. Analyse business drivers behind budget discrepancies and collaborate with teams to align financial planning with strategic objectives.
- Financial Strategy Development: Propose financial strategies for pivotal business expansion initiatives. Continually enhance finance processes by spearheading efforts to streamline, simplify, or automate financial procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong experience in Finance BP, FP&A, Finance Strategy, Finance professional service, or equivalent roles within the content, media, or technology sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to assess and prioritize key initiatives at different stages.
- Proactive nature, coupled with patience and perseverance in achieving desired results.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Communication skills in Mandarin is preferred.
- Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Adaptability to multicultural and cross-team communication environments.
- Overseas experience is advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and other relevant software.
- Familiarity with MySQL is advantageous.
