ByteDance is looking for a Finance Business Partner with over 5 years of relevant working experience to support our live business operations in Asian countries. This individual contributor role requires working onsite at the office five days per week and is key within the global Finance Business Partner team which offers great opportunities for professional growth and learning in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Budgeting: Participate in the financial planning of core business, including but not limited to revenue, cost, and long-term planning. Monitor budget implementation to ensure timely fulfillment of commitments and conduct rigorous variance analysis. Regularly update forecasts to support business decision-making.
- Special Project Analysis of Reports: Conduct detailed breakdown and analysis of major cost items, and propose special project suggestions for cost reduction and optimization from a financial perspective; conduct in-depth research on key indicators and the root causes of revenue fluctuations, analyze the driving factors of revenue growth, and understand the correlations among indicators at various dimensions.
- Activity and Project-based Budget Management: Coordinate resource efficiency assessment of the Mid-Platform and financial review analysis of major activities.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimally 5 years of work experience in financial planning and analysis or in a similar role (e.g., Finance Business Partner or Finance Strategy).
- Proven track record of successfully driving finance-led initiatives in business operations, including but not limited to cost-saving implementations, financial process optimization, business-to-finance data transformation, and financial solution design for new business strategies.
- Proficient in data analysis, particularly in areas such as return on investment (ROI), financial modelling, and financial analysis.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills, logical reasoning, teamwork, self-motivation, and critical thinking.
- Adaptable to evolving business needs, with the ability to proactively collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to gather insights and align objectives.
- Strong technical skills in Excel and financial tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Mandarin is highly preferred to effectively engage with Chinese stakeholders based in Chinese-speaking markets and the need to review documents in Mandarin.
- Experience working in fast-paced organizations with international operations, or in global companies within the internet, media, or TMT industries, is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with SQL and Power BI is preferred.
- Certificates such as CFA or CPA are preferred.
