Finance Business Partner - Functions

Position Overview:

TikTok is seeking a talented and motivated Finance Business Partner to join our team, who will be responsible for supporting our live business in multiple countries while drawing upon and referencing financial practices from diverse international contexts. This role constitutes an individual contributor position and holds significant importance within the global Finance Business Partner team. It presents ample opportunities for learning and personal growth within a high-impact environment.

Finance BP and Business FP&A is a sub-department of Finance. It aims to improve management efficiency, reduce financial risks and strengthen budget control by providing business analysis and insights, and management reporting.

- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Proficient in financial closing and reconciliation processes. Skilled in preparing monthly global consolidation reports and ensuring data accuracy. Ability to analyze expenses, explain variances, and provide insights and commentaries to stakeholders.
- Business Planning and Budget Management: Experienced in preparing annual budgets and managing rolling forecasts.
Capable of reviewing budget utilization on local, regional, and global levels. Strong understanding of cost drivers and adept at monitoring fixed and variable costs to enhance budget accuracy.
- Business Process Optimization: Ability to understand complex business models and optimize processes. Skilled in identifying financial exposure and proposing risk mitigation measures and operational efficiency improvements from a financial perspective.
- Financial Risk Management: Proficient in conducting daily financial reviews of project approvals, contracts, etc. Capable of identifying financial, taxation, and internal control risks and coordinating with various finance teams to find optimal solutions to mitigate these risks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience in collaborating with global administration and real estate teams to ensure effective communication and alignment of financial objectives.
- Budget Preparation and Cost Analysis: Skilled in preparing departmental budgets and conducting cost analysis to control financial exposure and improve operational efficiency.
- Financial Status Reporting: Proficient in providing regular feedback on the financial status of projects and departments.

Qualifications

Minimum:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business and other relevant fields.
- Strong experience in FP&A, Accounting or relevant financial analysis experience in a mid-to-large-scale company.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using systems and tools for financial modeling, analysis of multiple large datasets and data visualisation, such as but not limited to Excel, Tableau, PowerBI.
- Self-motivated, ability to work in a team environment to organize work, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple assignments simultaneously. Global mind-set for working with different cultures and backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to get into details and articulate findings to an executive level.

Preferred:

- Big 4 and/or technology sector experience is preferred.
