Team Introduction
In this new era where gaming is mainstream entertainment, Gaming companies have an opportunity to reach and engage a broad audience, and creatively engage with communities to drive impact. With the newly formed Global Gaming Business Marketing team, we have the opportunity to establish how TikTok has become the new Portal to Play. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the team that is showcasing how leading publishers can launch games as culturally-relevant entertainment properties and get broader entertainment audiences to discover, play and further engage with their games.

We are seeking a Gaming Event Marketing Manager for the APAC region based in Japan within the Global Gaming Business Marketing team. You will be a key player in planning and executing various events to educate gaming clients HOW they can succeed with Gaming on TikTok with Japan as a priority market, but also oversight of limited, priority marketing events in Korea. You serve as an executional advisor to the business and structured in a way that will enable Gaming on TikTok to influence and drive as much impact as possible.

Responsibilities
- Own and develop APAC event strategy and calendar, including but not limited to industry events, sponsorship, workshops and webinars, to promote TikTok Gaming targeting the B2B audiences (gaming advertisers, media agencies, industry partners).
- Works closely with APAC/Japan Sales leadership to set and drive the business agenda, driving alignment and collaboration across Global Gaming Global Business Marketing, local Gaming GBS teams, Global Content as well as APAC Global Business Marketing to achieve greater synergies and efficiency.
- Identify and execute local and regional sponsorship, speakership and co-hosting event opportunities.
- Bring TikTok Gaming messages and stories to life strategically and creatively, driving perception and behavior change across industry events, partner meetings and other high profile engagements in APAC.
- Partner closely with the Gaming Marketing Solution Lead, APAC GBM and external production partners (copywriter, designer, PR etc.) to ensure that marketing messages are executed and adopted seamlessly.
- Project management, including but not limited to vendor and freelancer management.
- Represent APAC Gaming GBM in various global and regional meetings, sharing learning and updates about events that speak to measurable business results.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Proficient in Japanese, Business Level of English.
- 5 years of experience in B2B event marketing, able to lead large scale events end-to-end.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and dealing with uncertainty and ambiguity
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally to achieve business goals.
- Proactive problem solver with a high level of intellectual curiosity.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the gaming industry.
