About the Team
The EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) department focuses on the well-being of employees, the environment, and the general public. We will be implementing policies and practices to ensure a safe and healthy work environment, compliance with environmental regulations, and minimize risks associated with workplace hazards. The EHS team will work to prevent accidents, reduce environmental impact, and promote sustainable practices within our organization. Our work is critical for maintaining regulatory compliance, improving operational efficiency, and protecting the health and safety of all stakeholders.

In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.

Responsibilities
- Develop, review and implement EHS policies, programs, and procedures to be used throughout the company.
- Develops a management strategy to ensure compliance with EHS and Facilities regulations and codes; acts as the primary contact to regulatory agencies / government authorities
- Provide regular review and improvement of existing EHS programs, procedures, and policies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to environment and occupational health and safety.
- Develop documentation as it relates to ISO 14001 including monthly updates, safety committee meetings, ISO 14001 EMS Management Reviews and internal/external audit, accident investigations and metrics tracking.
- Create and maintain required EHS permits, such as air, water, waste, pressurized vessels, emergency response, etc.
- Identify risks within the company's business operations; develop and implement programs to mitigate.
- Identify new and emerging EHS regulatory requirements; develop and implement programs and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Perform accident and incident investigations and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Provide follow-up to action plans from audits, self-inspections, and accident/incident investigations.
- Support EHS management requirements on report writing, statistical analysis and incident & accident trend studies.
- Be responsible for the Emergency Response Team (ERT) programs.
- Collaborate in the implementation of the corporate sustainability program
- Act as a liaison to ensure compliance with the corporate business continuity program.
- Provide input and guidance for Global EHS programs.
- Collaborate in the creation of the annual EHS budget for the local site(s).
- Review/update budget report and/or quarterly budget variance report for consistency and accuracy of payments as advised by EHS Manager.
- Determine project scope, acquire vendor quotes, set up new suppliers, provide justification to fund purchase orders.
- Where contracts are required, collaborate with contracts team to review, negotiate and execute.
- Have responsibility for regulatory reporting to, federal, state, and local agencies as required.
- Maintain document management system such that documents can be easily retrieved to demonstrate EHS compliance.
- Develops and oversees EHS training programs for employees in areas such as OHSA general industry required training. Also Conducts safety training and awareness sessions for employees and leaders

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental, Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering/Management, Industrial Hygiene, Risk Management, or related experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety and environmental rules, operating and maintenance instructions, Code of Federal regulation, OSHA regulations and other consensus standards, and procedure manuals
- Experience at issue tracking, trianing and crisis management.

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
- Expected to function with little direction and be able to independently drive complex projects to completion

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $103360 - $186116 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
