Responsibilities
Responsible for the Algorithm Architecture team of TikTok E-commerce in the U.S. region. The team aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of e-commerce algorithm services through user-friendly tools, elegant architecture, and robust, high-performance systems-ultimately driving GMV growth for TikTok E-commerce and building the most advanced e-commerce algorithm infrastructure in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the training, deployment, and inference optimization of large language models for e-commerce applications, improving efficiency and reducing costs across various business scenarios.
- Drive optimization of large-scale data processing for e-commerce, including feature computation, deduplication, and retrieval efficiency to enhance the effectiveness of foundational data.

- Support business needs such as customer service, merchant support, and guided shopping through centralized control systems, data analytics, and user experience improvements.
- Build systems for e-commerce governance, including data analysis tools, automated moderation, IPR protection, risk control features, duplicate image detection, and logistics-related capabilities.
- Own the long-term planning of the team and business, clearly defining team responsibilities and ensuring effective collaboration and role alignment with all stakeholders.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or a related field, with a solid foundation in computer science and strong architecture design skills.
- Proficient in Golang or at least one backend programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++).
- Strong cross-team and cross-functional communication and collaboration skills, excellent problem analysis and resolution capabilities, and proven experience in team management and development.
- 5+ years of experience in backend development, architecture design, or algorithm engineering, with at least 3 years of team management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in large model engineering and applications, machine learning platforms, algorithm architecture, or complex e-commerce system architecture is a strong plus.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $212800 - $389500 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location.
