Team Intro
USDS Financial Crime Compliance is responsible for overseeing and operationalizing all aspects related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions Compliance activities related to TikTok USDS's operations. Collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders across the U.S. and globally, we address complex and cutting-edge challenges, which include the identification of money-laundering, terrorist financing and sanction violations. We seek a highly motivated, experienced, and dynamic professional to join our team.
In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.

Position Overview
As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the organization's regulatory, legal, audit, and business functions through advanced data analytics, reporting, and communication. This position involves analyzing large and complex datasets, maintaining data pipelines, and producing clear, defensible outputs to support regulatory inquiries, litigation, audits, and internal reviews. Your ability to translate data into actionable insights and well-structured narratives will be essential for enabling transparency, compliance, and informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:
- Perform data discovery and profiling to identify relevant data sources, understand data quality, and uncover insights to support regulatory, legal, and business needs.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit, and Business Operations to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Analyze and aggregate data from diverse systems to support regulatory submissions, audits, litigation discovery, and internal investigations.
- Build and manage data inventories, data flow diagrams, and system documentation to ensure data traceability and readiness for audit or regulatory review.
- Translate complex data findings into clear, business-ready explanations, reports, and dashboards for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Perform exploratory data analysis and visual exploration to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies..
- Define KPIs and build dashboards to measure data quality, compliance readiness, and operational performance.
- Perform special projects and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and one programming language such as Python, R, or Scala.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Demonstrated ability to perform data discovery, data profiling, and exploratory analysis across diverse systems. Experience working with large, complex datasets from multiple sources.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical findings to legal, regulatory, and business stakeholders, high standards for data quality and documentation.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, translating business and regulatory needs into data requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting litigation discovery, legal holds, or regulatory submissions.
- Background in a regulated industry such as financial services, healthcare, or telecommunications.
- Proficiency with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery) and distributed data processing tools (e.g., Spark).
- Strong experience writing business-ready reports, narratives, or documentation explaining technical data findings to technical and non-technical partners.
- Ability to deliver consistent high quality results while working in a fast paced environment

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $86555 - $135111 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
