Trust and Safety Operations is a pivotal team within U.S. Data Security. We strive to enable TikTok to become the most trusted and secure platform in the US through operational excellence in content moderation via innovations in technology, optimization in processes and investment in people. We ensure that we enforce our policies based on our community guidelines and we take appropriate actions in a timely manner to minimize risks on our platform to our users and advertisers.
Our Operations team performs a critical function that supports our efforts to address objectionable or disturbing content. Content that this team interacts with includes images, video, and text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; and murder.

In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. Responsibilities
- Employ sophisticated statistical modeling techniques for demand forecasting and resource allocation to optimize expenditure growth and investment allocation within the moderation workforce.
- Conduct advanced data mining, regression analysis, and other statistical techniques to uncover valuable patterns and trends, fostering a deeper understanding of business dynamics.
- Conduct experimentation to continuously refine and optimize moderation efficiency, leveraging data-driven insights to implement iterative improvements.
- Architect and manage scalable, automated dashboards and reports to monitor and evaluate progress against critical operational performance metrics and strategic initiatives.
- Lead the business review process, crafting executive-level presentations and facilitating performance meetings aimed at optimizing operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or higher in Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related subjects is preferred.
-3+ years of experience in management, business process improvement, or analytical roles in content moderation or similar fields. Such as call centers and adverts moderation in tech companies.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis or data modeling techniques, including hypothesis testing, experiment design, and common regression and classification algorithms.
- Experience in data science programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R)
- Experience working with Business Insights tools, e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.
- Proficiency in Excel & Google sheet
- Comfortable with ambiguity; able to thrive with minimal oversight and process, while keeping leadership informed on progress against deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong experience conducting and evaluating A/B tests, ideally in Financial and/or Operational related fields
- Strong communication and ability to craft executive-ready narratives around complex business or operational topics and successfully influence VP+ decision making
- Experience in customer experience or platform integrity domain
- Your ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.
- Your resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $101080 - $168888 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
