Responsibilities
The Government Relations and Public Policy team covers a wide range of responsibilities: government affairs and government relations; policy and issue area expertise; risk and crisis management and mitigation; outreach, coalitions, and partnerships. The mission of the team is to earn trust and prevent, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats to TikTok.
The Strategy & Operations team is a centralised function that leads cross-regional strategy, programmes and project management to drive the team's shared goal of earning trust and managing and mitigating political, legislative and regulatory threats.

We're seeking a candidate to help communicate to policymakers the story of the creators (as well as artists, businesses and merchants) who are thriving on TikTok. The ideal candidate will relish the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, bring a highly collaborative approach to their work and be a first class communicator with sound judgment and a strong bias for action.

Working closely with regional GR, e-commerce, TikTok LIVE and content teams, the successful candidate will:
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify and build direct relationships with creators most likely to resonate with policymakers' and local political agendas
- Develop and execute GR focused programmes, events and initiatives that provide creators with a platform to share their stories directly with policymakers
- Liaise with creators on behalf of country level GR teams to support local campaigns and initiatives
- Develop assets, content and other external-facing materials that integrate creator storytelling into day-to-day GR engagement, as well as larger initiatives such as economic impact reports
- Collaborate with the wider GR team to help standardise onboarding and continuous support for government, politician and policymaker accounts (GPPPAs)
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- A good understanding of the wider creator economy and its value and impact;
- Experience of working directly with creators and influencers, preferably in a public sector or government relations/ public policy environment;
- Proven experience in project management and execution
Preferred Qualifications
- General understanding of UK and EEA government policymaking and legislative processes
