Country Director, Japan - Apps Growth
Responsibilities
 About the team 
The Global Business Solutions (GBS) team is responsible for the revenue growth of the TikTok business, and our teams include Sales, Marketing, Ops, Account Managers, Agency and partnerships, as well as Marketing Science. 
GBS is a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and ambitious client group, and our HRBPs who support them are too! We are excited to continue adding to our Human Resources team to attract, engage, and retain top talent to drive the continued growth of the organization. 
At TikTok, our Global Business Solutions (GBS) team plays a key role in generating revenue by promoting our advertising solutions, onboarding new clients, driving ad campaigns, and more. As the TikTok community grows at an unprecedented speed around the world, our GBS team leads groundbreaking projects that are changing the landscape of the advertising industry in real time.
Responsibilities
- Develop robust strategies to identify and unlock revenue growth. Combine outside-in vertical perspectives together with knowledge of TikTok products and solutions to enable win-win partnership outcomes
- Become a trusted business partner to clients. Build strong partnerships with both existing key and new prospective clients and c-level executives in different industries 
- Build a high performing team. Cultivate a team of ad sales managers to help them with increasing client base with strategic pitches, influencing C-level clients and analyzing client performance and revenue trends for inclusive solutions. 
- Build a talent strategy and lead organisational design. Lead recruiting, manage the team by developing sales skills, coaching & training
- Ensure strong sales operational rigor across external meetings cadence, pipeline management, forecasting and deal closure
- Closely collaborate with cross functional teams across Product Marketing, Creative, Measurement, Data Analytics 
- Surface client feedback about TikTok products and solutions to shape the future of product development. Lead strengthening of our go-to-market strategies and overall market positioning
- Participate and drive business reviews across domestic and global stakeholders. Strive to achieve breakthroughs in business
Qualifications
 Minimum Qualifications
- Background in sales, consulting, investment banking or marketing
- Experience in client facing roles with knowledge of digital marketing or digital enabled transformations
- 5+ years of team and people management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership skills - data driven approach with an ability to work across high level strategy and hands-on execution. Ability to navigate clients, agencies, tech partners, and leverage existing relationships as well as building/fostering new relationships in a matrix organization
- Business level proficiency in Japanese and English across writing, communication and interpersonal skills
