Position and Team Overview:
TikTok is seeking an experienced and dynamic Trainer to join the USDS Trust and Safety Moderation Training team. This role sits within our Training Delivery function and is responsible for delivering impactful, high-quality training to Content Moderators, QAs, and team leaders. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of adult learning principles, excels at translating complex policies into actionable training, and collaborates seamlessly with cross-functional partners-including Policy, Quality, and Operations. As a Trainer, you'll play a key role in facilitating multiple training programs and driving performance and knowledge improvements across various moderation sites.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instructor-led training for new hires, up skilling, and policy updates across multiple workflows.
- Support cross-training efforts, ensuring Moderators, Leaders, and Quality Analysts are equipped to handle different workflows and responsibilities.
- Collaborate closely with global training teams and internal/external partners to design and implement training solutions.
- Maintain, and update training documentation, including curricula, guides, and SOPs.
- Translate complex policy updates into easy-to-understand learning materials and ensure alignment with Content Moderation.
- Partner with the Quality team to identify performance gaps and design targeted training strategies to improve quality across locations.
- Utilize adult learning principles to choose appropriate training media, methodologies, and formats (e.g., live sessions, eLearning, blended learning).
- Develop and review training materials such as job aides, knowledge checks, and assessments to evaluate learner progress and outcomes.
- Support the completion and certification of various courses in the LMS.
- Foster a culture of learning by designing and delivering ongoing trainer development programs.
- Be the subject matter expert for internal lines of business or products, providing core training support and expertise.
- Work efficiently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, maintaining high levels of quality and effectiveness.
- Regularly collaborate with the Policy team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of training on policy changes.
- Continuously evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of training/operational experience in a Customer Support, Trust and Safety, Moderation, or BPO/Vendor operations.
- Excellent written and oral communication, public speaking, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Strong ability to adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel up to 20% a year to support moderation locations.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including effective listening, intercultural collaboration, and providing feedback.
- Solid understanding of adult learning concepts and methodologies.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects independently from initiation to delivery.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in working in a Learning Management Systems (LMS) and/or other Learning Development authoring tools
- 2 or more years of practical experience in Learning and Development or Training Delivery, delivering large-scale training programs to diverse audiences.
