Responsibilities
TikTok's Content Ecosystem team is responsible for the health and prosperity of content users and creators to improve DAU in the long term. Our team deeply dives into the following fields: tracking the whole content ecosystem and finding potential challenges and opportunities; cooperating closely with the RD team on model recognition, content understanding, and algorithms, targeting to balance the traffic in different formats, optimize traffic distribution, content diversifications, creator experience of moderation, user experience of interactions, and more problems.
Responsibilities:
1. Optimize Video Content Recommendations: Design and implement effective distribution strategies to enhance user satisfaction with TikTok's video content. Analyze user needs, identify and address existing recommendation issues, and accelerate the deployment of advanced content distribution solutions.
2. Traffic Management: Develop standards and principles to balance traffic across various business areas, ensuring a seamless and positive user content consumption experience.
3. Algorithm Collaboration: Work closely with the algorithm team to identify and resolve recommendation issues. Support research into innovative algorithms to improve the efficiency of TikTok's content distribution system.
4. User and Strategy Collaboration: Partner with user research and business strategy teams to conduct user research and analyze user behavior.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong logical thinking and data analysis skills, with the ability to leverage data insights for informed decision-making.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated resilience under pressure and commitment to long-term goals.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship experience with internet or technology companies, or project experience related to content recommendation, is advantageous.
- Proven ability to work and communicate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Familiarity with recommendation mechanisms and algorithmic principles is preferred.
- Exceptional curiosity, user empathy, and creativity.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $122360 - $185600 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others.
