About the team
The Creator Publicity team is part of the broader Consumer and Business Communications organization, which works to amplify how TikTok is a global platform for discovery that empowers creators and brands to shape culture, spark creativity, and bring joy to audiences around the world. The Communications Manager for Creator Publicity will play a key role in elevating TikTok's creator community through media-facing initiatives, campaigns, and proactive storytelling.
Our team is looking for someone well-versed in internet culture who can operate at the intersection of creator publicity, livestreaming and innovative storytelling - collaborating closely with our Creator, Consumer, Trust and Safety, Product, LIVE, Public Policy, and Legal teams across a range of topics, products, policies, partnerships, and events. This person should have a proven ability to distill information quickly and communicate across a wide range of audiences, and should have experience creating clear, succinct strategies, talking points, and assets that bring stories to life and build brand affinity. This person should thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, think globally while executing projects locally, and collaborate with empathy and a people-first mindset.

The Communications Manager for Creator Publicity will also help spotlight the tools, trends, and programs that enable creators to build careers on and off TikTok, working with XFN teams to highlight creator involvement in global tentpole events and campaigns. This is a high-impact role for someone who is just as comfortable building and managing a campaign launch from the ground up as they are navigating creator-related issues or pivoting quickly if plans shift.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
- Experience pitching press and securing media pieces across online, broadcast, e.t.c.
- Strong media relations experience; existing relationships with entertainment, consumer, and tech press
- Talent publicity experience; demonstrated ability to offer personalized service to creators or public figures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to simplify complex topics and tailor messaging for different audiences
- Experience leading campaigns, developing media strategy, and issue handling
- Experience staffing high-profile events and fostering cross-functional collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding and passion for the creator economy, pop culture, and digital innovation, complemented by strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills
- Exceptional listening, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills.
- A strong bias-to-action
- Ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with livestreaming
- Familiarity with global media landscapes and sensitivity to diverse creator communities
- Previous experience working with global companies
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $111467 - $200556 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
