CDN Acquisition Manager, US
Responsibilities
Team Introduction
The infrastructure engineering team supports the company's fast growth by building and operating hyper-scale data centers as well as vastly distributed global edge networks. Our edge sourcing team focuses on the acquisition of co-locations and various network connectivities from the commercial angle to support edge and backbone network that enable users to interact with our platform with optimal performance gobally. As we interact with various partners in this industry, we also develop and maintain relationships and strategic partnership with suppliers. Also, as we develop our acquisition strategy, we conduct market research, manage the potential and existing supplier pool, cost analysis and supplier performance evaluation to build our roadmap for the acquisition effort to support our growth. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about global infrastructure acquisition with exciting growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Manage strategic sourcing initiatives with the CDN market, including the leading providers in global markets. Convert business requests from various business units to an actionable plan. Act as POC in the market, representing Bytedance to lead the RFP process and contract negotiation.
- Negotiate and implement complex supplier agreements and contracts working with cross-functional teams to meet the deliverables on milestone dates.
- Lead supplier performance review and manage supplier engagement via systematic and trackable records.
- Conduct market research, build market intelligence, select and onboard qualified suppliers and manage the supplier lifecycle.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in a business, technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- Direct work experience in CDN market with the potential to understand business demand.
- Strong business, commercial and technical acumen with analytical approaches for decision making processes.
- Proven track records of commercial, technical and contractual negotiations.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years experience in infrastructure industry for the acquisition, sourcing, engineering, finance or other relevant technical and business functions.
- Strong project management, concise communication skills with cross functional stakeholders, and logical/analytical reasoning.
- Strong work proficiency of using Office Applications, Jira and other contract platforms.
- Always Day 1 and willingness mindset of dealing with various challenging projects.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $112000 - $324000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others.
