About the team
The Business Insights and Optimisation (BIO) team is part of our AI Data Service and Operations (ADSO) team that provides safety and non-safety data annotation services, search operation services, and customer services for ByteDance's international products, helping them to build their own data ecological security.
About the role
As the Analysis & Insights Global Lead, you will lead the Analysis & Insights team globally, manage/mentor/lead analysts to all kinds of annotation and labeling projects in TikTok.
Responsibilities
Metrics Governance and Lifecycle Management:
- Define and maintain a clear governance framework for all key metrics - including ownership, definitions, usage, and change management processes.
- Drive the review and alignment of metric targets, providing objective views and recommendations.
- Ensure metric consistency across teams and systems, minimizing conflicting interpretations and enabling coherent performance tracking across the organization.

Data Integrity and Quality Assurance:
- Champion data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all operational and performance metrics.
- Implement data validation checks and governance mechanisms to uphold data quality, ensuring trustworthy insights for decision-makers.
Operational Analytics & Systematic Insights:
- Lead in-depth and systematic analysis of operations and business performance, producing high-quality insights that inform strategic and tactical decisions.
- Deliver structured reporting and actionable recommendations tailored to different audiences.
Build Scalable Analytics Infrastructure:
- Design and/or collaborate to develop strong foundational infrastructure and dashboards to support diverse and evolving business use cases.
- Ensure infrastructure enables fast and reliable generation of insights and reports at scale.
Standardization Across Lines of Business:
- Drive the unification and standardization of metrics, reporting practices, and performance scorecards across different Lines of Business (LoBs).
Performance Measurement and Evaluation:
- Deliver comprehensive scorecards and evaluation frameworks to track individual, team, and organizational performance.
Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement:
- Collaborate cross-functionally to promote data literacy and ensure stakeholders can interpret and act on analytical outputs effectively.
- Serve as a strategic advisor, guiding leaders in the effective use of insights to drive performance.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Economics or related quantitative fields, within complex, data-driven environments.
- Leadership & People Management: Minimum 3 years of people management experience with proven experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing analytics professionals. Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and align cross-functional teams around common goals and strategic priorities.
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Proven expertise in translating complex data into actionable business strategies and communicating them effectively at all organizational levels along with the ability to drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the team.
- Technical & Operational Skills: Proficient in SQL, data visualization, and other data analysis tools along with the experience of overseeing the implementation of data governance and metric standardization across teams or business units.
- Project & Resource Management: Proven experience in prioritizing, resourcing, and delivering multiple analytics projects in a fast-paced environment and the ability to build scalable analytics infrastructure and processes that support rapid reporting and diverse business use cases.
- Business Acumen & Communication: Deep understanding of operational workflows, business processes, and industry dynamics relevant to the function along with exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex analyses and build consensus across stakeholders.
