The Senior Manager, IT Audit Senior oversees delivery of a book of complex technology and IT integrated engagements spanning technology disciplines, processes and business areas. The Senior Manager takes a strategic view of risk across the assigned book of audit and advisory engagements to assess risks, consider emerging factors, and drive engagement scopes accordingly. The position is responsible for educating clients and risk and control topics, and negotiating appropriate mitigation plans, timelines and supporting evidence to facilitate risk reduction. This role is responsible for effective, efficient and timely delivery of engagements by developing staff skills and experience, leveraging strong client relationships and working closely with peer managers and senior audit executives. As a visible leader, the Senior Manager proactively identifies and takes responsibility for leading initiatives to improve and enhance audit tools, techniques and capabilities. The Senior Manager is responsible for leading goal setting, career development and performance discussions with direct reports that build and position them to achieve department, professional and personal objectives.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Applies a strategic perspective in overseeing the planning, execution and delivery of assigned audit and advisory engagements in accordance with audit methodology and audit plan budgets and timelines.

  • Maintains awareness of technology trends, risks and controls through personal curiosity, training and networking.

  • Drives risk-prioritized engagement planning and delivery, challenging scope and approach based on company and industry risks, including emerging risks.

  • Leads performance activities for direct reports, including goal setting, career planning, training selection, certification and timely performance discussion that grow and support staff in their career aspirations.

  • Builds and cultivates Internal Audit and client management relationships that foster a strong risk culture, understand the organization’s business, identify IT risks and contribute to a constructive Internal Audit brand.

  • Incorporates a holistic and business-oriented view in preparing audit reports and issues through concise, precise and accurate writing.

  • Reviews work to ensure it is performed and documented in accordance with audit methodology and provide timely feedback to auditors.

  • Leads and actively participates in negotiations with clients, peers and senior audit executives in conversations about risks and controls within assigned engagement books and as part of team and departmental discussions.

  • Incorporates innovative audit techniques, including data analytics, in engagements, continuous monitoring and where possible to increase scope, quality and timeliness of work performed.

  • Provides clear and timely engagement updates to audit management and clients, especially regarding delays, control issues, budget or timeline concerns.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 Years of IT auditing, control testing, or risk identification and analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7 Years of Information Systems Auditing experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is preferred.
  • The candidate will be requested to obtain the CISA within a reasonable timeframe, based on prior experience.

Potential Salary: $165,770.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
