Info Systems Engineer
The Information Systems Engineer participates in the designing of information systems that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. Working under general supervision, this job is responsible for analyzing information from system users to formulate the scope and objectives of the system and preparing the design of possible systems solutions.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Defines system scope through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.


• Prepares flow charts, models, and procedures and conducts feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.

• University (Degree) Preferred

• 2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred

The Citrix / VDI Operations Engineer will be responsible for support & upkeep of the Virtual Desktop and Published Application environment at TIAA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Provide end-to-end support for the VDI systems.
• Manage end user incidents & requests in the support queue.
• Manage patching of Citrix Servers for Microsoft & other 3rd Party Vulnerabilities.
• Generate data & prepare operational reports.
• Management of Citrix virtualization technologies.
• Act as the technical expert for Citrix / VDI environment.
• Provide Tier II / III support to deployed systems.
• Work with customers to determine their functional needs, translating customer needs into hardware/software requirements for existing or new hardware/software applications
• Act as the technical expert for Citrix integration projects
• Participate in functional or user acceptance testing.
• Review and document functionality of existing Citrix Environment.
• Create test plans, installation guides & operating procedures for the environment.
• Test, document & perform Citrix infrastructure component upgrades.
• Monitor and recognize constraints in infrastructure and identify alternates.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Experience

• Five or more years of current Citrix architecture / support experience leveraging tools such as:
  • Citrix XenApp & XenDesktop 7.x
  • Citrix Provisioning Services 7.x
  • Citrix Machine Creation Services (MCS)
  • Citrix StoreFront
  • Citrix ADC (Netscaler) 12.x, 13.x
  • VMware vSphere 6.x.
  • AD Domain & Group Policy.
• Creating managing & troubleshooting Active Directory Group Policies / Citrix Policies for VDI
• Knowledge & experience with Desktops on Cloud / DaaS / Citrix Cloud.
• Experience in process / administration and automation using PowerShell.

Desired Skills 

• Nutanix Hyper Converged Infrastructure.
• Citrix App Layering / VMware App Volumes.
• Fslogix
• Awareness of Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible )
• Service Now integration for Automation.

Desired Qualifications

• Citrix certifications preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer or information science preferred.
