The Systems role assists with the analysis of business and information needs in order to design optimal systems solutions. Working under close supervision, this job helps to design system solutions that are appropriate for business needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. This job also identifies improvements to the existing information technology (IT) systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Identifies business needs, conducts requirement gathering, and defines scope and objectives of each project.

  • Makes recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.

  • Assists with the translation of business requirements into application requirements, and works with all members of the team to communicate the changes to the application successfully.

  • Identify and escalate conflicts, issues and changes in order to appropriately manage scope.

  • Maintains technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.

  • Seeks advice from senior management regarding challenging system processes and other problems that require a more complex understanding of information technology (IT) systems as a whole.

    Position Summary:  Describe below the primary purpose and function of this job

    The role is responsible for assisting in the Support group of support staff for Microsoft Teams/OneDrive & Key features of M365.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities:  List up to 5 key duties and responsibilities, management responsibilities and time spent (if applicable)

    • Support & resolve incidents raised by end users with effective coomunication.
    • Build SOP’s & knowledge articles for repetitive incidents
    • Action client requests, such as Teams, team site provisioning.
    • Manage meetings, including meeting policies, configurations, and conference bridges.
    • Manage voice, including calling policies and phone number inventory and assignment.
    • Manage messaging, including messaging policies.
    • Manage all org-wide settings, including federation, teams upgrade, and teams client settings.
    • Manage the teams in the organization and their associated settings, including membership (group management supported via PowerShell, team management in the Teams admin center).
    • Manage Teams-certified devices and set up and assign configuration policies.1
    • Support data and application migration from legacy system(s) to Microsoft cloud.
    • Work closely with project managers and team members to drive adoption and to promote the business value of OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online
    • Provide technical guidance for SharePoint Online form development and management including associated workflows
    • Configure OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online services and settingsTimely escalation of issues to appropriate leads and managers to ensure slippage to delivery is avoided

    Functional Knowledge:  What knowledge of concepts, process, principles or procedures is needed within discipline; SME?

    • Key Skills Required:
      • SharePoint Online/2019/2013 - Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience
      • Onedrive & Teams administration  - Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience
      • Incident management - Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience
      • PowerShell Scripting
      • Effective communication
      • Excellent written & verbal communication

    • Good to have Skills:
      • Service now knowledge
