Java Technical Lead

Currently, TIAA has an opportunity for a Java Technical Lead. This role will be responsible for providing solutions for technical issues which may impact product delivery. This role will design and deliver the team’s code. In addition, will facilitate requirement analyses, conduct peer reviews and provide feedback, and enhance frame works.
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of industry best practices, possess good organizational and leadership skills, and proficiency in Java technologies. In addition, this technical lead should possess good analytical skills, the ability to anticipate issues and frame remedial actions, and excellent teamwork skills. This position can be located in our Charlotte, NC or Iselin, NJ office.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform requirement analyses

• Conduct unit testing using automated unit test frameworks

• Identify risk and conduct mitigation action planning

• Conduct configuration of your own work

• Review the work of other developers and provide feedback

• Use coding standards and best practices to ensure quality.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Minimum of 5+ years of Java experience
• 3+ years of Spring experience
• 2+ years of experience leading a team of developers
• 1+ years’ experience with Git

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Systems or related discipline
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum delivery environment
• Extensive experience working in the IT industry
• Hands-on coding experience with Angular
• Good understanding of unit testing methodologies
• Excellent analytical skills

Potential Salary: $142,100.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
