Director, Human Resources Consulting Group (HRCG)

The Human Resources Consulting Group job provides human capital guidance and advice to various clients and colleagues. Working independently under limited supervision, this job creates human resource models, advises organizations on policies and procedures, and resolves any potential workforce related problems. This job is also a recognized subject matter expert in human resources (HR).

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Operates as a human resources (HR) solutions partner to business and functional leaders delivering consistent advice and coaching to support and enable local business strategy.

  • Partners with functional or operational managers to implement local human resources programs that are appropriate for their business needs, consistent with the organization's overall human resources strategy.

  • Partners with HR centers of expertise (COE) to improve company performance by identifying and clarifying problems, evaluating potential solutions and implementing selected solution.

  • Collaborates with the business and talent management/talent acquisition colleagues on key talent initiatives (e.g., workforce planning, hi-potential employee development, succession planning).

  • Collaborates with employee relations team to provide advice and guidance to managers on employee relations and performance management issues.

  • Conducts timely intake sessions to identify business needs, prepares documentation and makes appropriate recommendations for complex human resources issues to ensure human resources management is conducted effectively.

  • Leverages multiple systems and/or manual sources to produce regular or ad hoc HR metric reports, including headcount and turnover, in support of business needs and to help inform business decisions.

  • Conducts HR research, track and analyze metrics and suggest insight to improve decision making.

    Required:

    • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources 

    Desired:

    • Bachelor’s Degree; Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related degree field.

    • Prior experience working within a globally based Financial Services organization preferred.

    • Prior HR Business Partner experience

    • Prior continuous improvement experience

    • Quick to recognize and decide the most effective course of action in a complex and constantly changing environment.

    • Strong communication and presentation skills, both one-on-one and in groups.

    • Ability to build relationships and credibility quickly.

    • Able to navigate and negotiate through sensitive and complex issues.

    • Demonstrates strategic thinking when pursuing issue resolution and end objectives. 

    • Ability to evaluate and solve complex problems.

    • Uses tact and diplomacy in to find common ground in situations where there are divergent viewpoints.

    Potential Salary: $135,000.00 USD

    Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
