CW-Sr Analyst, Transaction Analysis

This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA’s family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.

This role is located onsite at our TIAA office in Charlotte, NC, USA but will currently be remote.

The anticipated term of this engagement will be 10 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.


The Transaction Services Analyst II job contributes to operational activities for the investment function, supporting the management of capital on behalf of pensions, endowments, corporate plan sponsors, and other institutional investors. Working independently under general supervision, this job reviews the accuracy of trades, accounts, and relevant reports.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Ensures that all individual trades and accounts have been reviewed and verified.

  • Prepares and delivers weekly, monthly and quarterly valuation reports to clients.

  • Monitors investment performance reports and presentations for adherence to reporting standards.

  • Partners with other departments to ensure transaction services are effectively supporting investment operations.

  • Maintains compliance documentation to help ensure compliance with investment restrictions, laws, Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), and tax codes.

Senior Analyst, Investment Operations

Nuveen is seeking Senior Analyst to work in a dynamic team within the Investment Operations Department. This function encompasses end to end exception management accomplished through various systematic, written and verbal interactions with Accounting Teams, Front Office and Middle Office Teams, as well as Custodian Banks, The group is also responsible for managing third party securities lending, foreign exchange, and best execution analytics. The primary focus of the position is timely and accurate reporting and analysis across multiple business lines, overall quality and accuracy of assigned processes, and preparation of ad hoc statistical reports.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business or Finance with at least 2 to 4 years of experience in investments management or financial services operations.

  • Must possess a working knowledge of investments instruments, i.e. Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, Securities Lending, etc.

  • Ideally have general understanding of securities process, i.e. Corporate Actions Actions, Trade Operations/ Settlements and Reconciliation.

  • Solid problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to take initiative and critically analyze processes and procedures.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

  • Advance Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite of products ( particularly Excel)

  • Ability to effective prioritize and execute tasks in high pressure environment.

  • Desire to drive process improvements initiatives within the business to gain efficiencies and reduce costs as well as mitigations risk.

  • Customer service skills are essential.
