CW Analyst, Corporate Actions

This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA’s family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.

This role is located onsite at our TIAA office in New York, NY, USA but will currently be remote.

The anticipated term of this engagement will be 10 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.


The Senior Analyst, Asset Management Investment Operations job contributes to operational activities for the investment function, supporting the management of capital on behalf of pensions, endowments, corporate plan sponsors, and other institutional investors. Working independently under general supervision, this job ensures operational processes are integrated and effective.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Reviews trades, accounts, and relevant reports in order to ensure accuracy.

  • Analyzes and contributes to the evaluation of relevant business data to identify solutions to moderate business problems, working to improve the effectiveness of operational processes for the investment function.

  • Partners with team members and management to ensure operational processes are integrated and effectively supporting investment operations.

  • Monitors investment performance reports and presentations for adherence to Global Investment Performance Standards.

  • Maintains compliance documentation to help ensure compliance with investment restrictions, laws, Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), and tax codes.

The Corporate Actions team is responsible for global dividend income and global corporate reorganization research and processing, including, but not limited to, splits, reverse splits, mergers, name changes, redemptions, calls, liquidations, tenders, exchanges, conversions, right subscriptions, dutch auctions, and subscription warrants.

The Corporate Actions Analyst role will be responsible for reviewing, monitoring, and processing both dividend income and corporate action events within Nuveen Middle Office software applications.

- 40% - Review, track, and process corporate actions events through entire lifecycle.

- 20% - Communicate voluntary corporate action events with investment team and account custodians.

- 20% - Process dividend and corporate action entitlements within accounting platforms.

- 10% - Monitor event reconciliation and trading system restrictions

- 05% - Assist in development of workflow process suggestions and documentation

- 05% - Other duties as assigned and required

- General knowledge of standard fixed income / equity investment products

- Corporate actions or income processing prior industry experience, a plus

- Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills
