Senior Release Engineer:

We are looking for a Senior Release Engineer who has Ability to provide work direction to technical teams in meeting business goals and objectives and develop high performing teams. Collaborative partnership style adaptable to various development methodologies, strong bias for action, high personal integrity, and dedication to continuous improvement.

About Role:

  • Participates with the project team in defining and implementing activities related to the configuration management of software development. This may include scheduling, executing, and documenting software build processes.
  • Includes compiling software with standard software development tools, packaging builds for release, ensuring appropriate project documentation is available for each new build or release, and testing builds for accuracy and completeness of the build. Accurately applies code fixes to all environments as required.
  • Identifies issues in assigned projects during the lifecycle of the project. Plans and executes the resolution of those issues.
  • Implement custom solutions for software repository and application lifecycle management tools.
  • Coordinates the review and approval of CM deliverables.
  • Maintains a repository of configuration items for projects and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.
  • Reports to project management, CM management and other appropriate groups on the progress of the Configuration Management effort including the status of project software builds, deployments, and environments.
  • Provides effort for ongoing support and maintenance of existing tools and applications.

About You:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technology discipline or equivalent work experience in a technology field.
  • CMII certification or other Configuration Management training a plus.
  • 8 years of experience in Project Co-ordination and review of application Release process.
  • Hands on Release Deployment process and support
  • Hands on software development experience with ServiceNow and Release Deployment process like Git, Python AWS Cloud CLI
  • Ability to provide work direction to technical teams in meeting business goals and objectives and develop high performing teams.
  • Collaborative partnership style adaptable to various development methodologies, strong bias for action, high personal integrity, and dedication to continuous improvement.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodology.
  • Supports maximizing the application quality and stability through the implementation of change control processes, tools, and environments. Will support the execution of change management, software configuration management, and release management functions for ONESOURCE Corporates software applications and systems
  • Level of knowledge and application of skills.
  • Advanced Configuration Management Skills, with Good domain knowledge and Leadership skills.
  • Software Development experience preferred.
  • Capable of motivating and energizing others, as well as gaining their respect.
  • Passionate about new knowledge.
  • Excellent communication ability.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of formal software engineering methodologies,
  • Software development tools, Unit Testing, Code management tools, Design tools
  • Good understanding of multiple systems and/or of more than one development environment.
