About the Role

In this opportunity as a Senior Business Development Manager (Corporates), you will:

  • Sell software solution in Japan to a pre-defined territory of accounts market segment and white space.
  • Build on expert knowledge to target client base, recognize client needs and propose solution.
  • Generate new business opportunities by taking qualified leads from multiple sources including marketing, BDRs and self-identified leads.
  • Prospect and demonstrate Thomson Reuters' capability to new customers, develop proposals, negotiate contracts and ultimately close new business
  • Collaborate with Client/Strategic Account Managers to deliver sales within existing accounts
  • Build competitor knowledge, maintain accurate customer contact and opportunity data in our CRM system, and conduct win/loss analysis plus maintain strong awareness of external market, to identify business opportunities.

About You

You're a fit for the role of Senior Business Development Manager (Corporates) if you have the following required qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a professional field sales or IT Solutions/ SaaS business development role
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Japanese Corporate market
  • Demonstrated track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Commercial acumen and ability to identify opportunities in white space
  • Ability to partner effectively with the wider sales team and internal stakeholders

Additional preferred qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or Master's in Business Administration (MBA), or relevant experience
  • Understanding of corporate tax and trade software solutions
