Director/Senior Director, Commercial Transformation & Operations
The Director/Senior Director, Commercial Transformation & Operations leads enterprise-wide commercial transformation initiatives that drive operational excellence and standardization. This role defines and implements commercial policies, establishes best-in-class commercial frameworks, leads operational readiness and ensures best-in-class processes across all markets and segments in support of our transition to a fully integrated operating company.
About the Role
In this opportunity as a Director/Senior Director, Commercial Transformation & Operations, your key responsibilities will be:
Commercial Strategy & Policy Leadership:
- Define and implement commercial policies aligned with industry best practices for leading SaaS/AI companies
- Establish standardized commercial models across the enterprise, benchmarking against market leaders to maintain competitive positioning
- Launch commercial policies working with Commercial Systems, Sales Enablement and Segment teams
- Establish metrics and KPIs to measure transformation success
Commercial Process Optimization & Operational readiness:
- Lead operational readiness team and initiatives to ensure systems and processes are scalable and well defined prior to product and partnership launches
- Define order-to-cash processes and system requirements for new product launches, strategic partnerships, and M&A integrations
Commercial Transformation & Change Management:
- Drive commercial strategy transformation from concept to operational reality
- Reimagine and transform end-to-end contracting processes, driving automation initiatives and leveraging CLM launch and adoption
- React with speed and agility to evolving business requirements and market conditions
- Foster organizational adoption of new processes and support teams through transformation initiatives
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Partner with product, sales, marketing, finance, technology, and customer-to-cash teams to optimize commercial performance
- Build effective relationships across geographically distributed teams
- Provide commercial thought leadership and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage the Commercial Policy and Operational Readiness teams
- Build high-performing teams capable of executing complex transformation initiatives

- 10+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience
- 5+ years of people management experience, including leading cross-functional teams
- Experience in SaaS/AI companies with commercial model transformation knowledge
- Strong background in change management, process improvement, and business strategy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and/or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $156,450 - $290,550.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $135,800 - $252,200.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
