AR Collections Supervisor

Job Description

Responsibilities include :

  • Supervise Credit, Collections and Receivables teams for the purpose of ensuring work assignments are complete and within department objectives.
  • Partner with internal customers to educate and enforce accounts receivable procedures, policies, along with internal audit controls.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and consumer data in both external and internal business dealings.
  • Audit the AR Daily Deposit and payment posting reconciliation Cash Control report.
  • Maintain company cash controls throughout all processes.
  • Supervise payment identification and posting process to ensure timely allocation of payments and adjustments by the close of each billing cycle.
  • Audit and manage the Petty Cash balance and disbursements through cash advance process.
  • Conducting weekly and monthly aging reviews with collections team.
  • Monitoring both teams to ensure drop boxes requests are completed daily.
  • Monitoring the phone gate to always ensure proper staffing and phone coverage.
  • Monitoring daily credit queues to ensure all ads failing credit have been addressed.
  • Training and coaching new and existing collection and AR reps.
  • Lead the Unit in analyzing the potential for continuous process improvement.
  • Coordinating with client solutions and sales teams to ensure payment within terms.
  • Overseeing account credit analysis with new and existing accounts to manage risk.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with our partners internally and externally
  • Meeting the company's goals of strong financial performance and excellent customer service, according to monthly and annually set objectives and measurements.
  • Helping the collectors to facilitate quick resolution of disputes.
  • Achieving monthly collection goals via effective collection calls, consistent coverage of entire assignment, and adherence to department policies and procedures.
  • Monitoring delinquent advertising accounts and ensuring the team initiates referral process.
  • Auditing documents and requests prepared by team for referral, refunds, or transfers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Leadership across multiple teams with connected functionality.

  • History of taking personal responsibility to make sure the job is accurate, timely and complete.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles to provide billing explanations to customers.
  • Strong Excel skills required.
  • Oracle, and SAP experience a plus.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience or combination of education (bachelor's degree preferred) and
work experience required.
