The Washington Post is seeking a highly skilled Alteryx Finance Analyst to support the finance department in automating and optimizing financial processes using Alteryx. This role requires a strong understanding of finance operations, advanced knowledge of Alteryx, data analysis, as well as the ability to collaborate across departments and drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Alteryx Automation and Process Optimization:
  • Develop and maintain Alteryx workflows for financial data processing, reporting, and automation.
  • Analyze and manage large datasets and complex data processes, providing insights to support business decisions.
  • Design and implement system integrations - using Alteryx or collaborating with the engineering team - between financial systems and enterprise tools.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to develop scalable and efficient data solutions.
  • Ensure financial data integrity, compliance, and adherence to best practices.
Finance Process Automation:
  • Collaborate with finance teams to identify areas for process improvement and develop solutions using Alteryx.
  • Propose process improvements and streamlining before building an automation.
  • Automate finance processes using Alteryx.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure seamless integration of Alteryx workflows with existing finance systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation on Alteryx workflows and processes.
  • Assist in troubleshooting Alteryx-related issues and providing solutions.
  • Maintain Alteryx bots as reports, processes, and business requirements change.
Strategic Planning and Roadmap Development
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Alteryx roadmap for the finance department, prioritizing development and implementation of new workflows and processes.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to identify areas for process improvement and develop solutions using Alteryx.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and priorities.
Support and Training
  • Provide training and support to other super users on the team to help them build and maintain their own Alteryx workflows.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating existing Alteryx workflows as processes change.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with Alteryx Designer and Server, developing and optimizing financial data workflows.
  • One of the following Alteryx certifications is required: Alteryx Certified Expert (ACE), Alteryx Certified Master (ACM), or Alteryx Certified Associate (ACA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with experience collaborating across teams.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Knowledge of finance operations, accounting principles, and financial compliance preferred.
The Washington Post's policy for employees is five days per week in the office, with exceptions for newsgathering and general business travel.

Benefits may vary based on the job, full-time or part-time schedule, location, and collectively bargained status.

The salary range for this position is:
85,100.00 - 127,700.00 USD Annual

The actual salary within this range will depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements. This position may be eligible for a bonus or incentive program, and a member of the Talent Acquisition team will discuss bonus payment terms and conditions during the interview process.
