Toro’s Irrigation and Lighting business is located in Riverside, CA. The Toro Company’s irrigation business is comprised of two distinct brands, Toro® and Irritrol®. The Electronic Assembler II​ assembles, tests and troubleshoots, if necessary, controllers, remotes and accessories, such as flow sensors and power supplies.

Wage: $24.56 per hour

What Will You Do? 

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: 

• Reads work orders follows production drawings and sample assemblies or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
• Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in the controller cabinet.
• Crimps, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
• Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, and integrated circuits into controller cabinet.
• Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
• Performs testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
• Performs testing of radio remote controllers and communication components.

What Do You Need? 

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: 

• Education: High School diploma or GED. 
• Experience: 3-5 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend instructions and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Other Skills and Abilities: Must have the ability to effectively use various electronic, hand, and power tools and test equipment.

• Physical Conditions: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
