The 2026 Summer Internship Program will run from May 18, 2026, through August 7, 2026. Candidates must be available to start on May 18 and participate through the duration of the program.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
- Part of the Battery and Systems Engineering Team working alongside electrical, software, mechanical, systems, and battery engineers developing battery and electrical products
- Hands-on role working with staff engineers to develop technical and professional skills
- Support the development, debugging and/or improvement of battery and electrical systems on products
- Participate in new product design and development processes
- Help investigate and resolve design and development issues
- Participate in the validation and testing of electrical and battery electronics and systems
- Contribute in the creation of design and validation documentation
What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or similar engineering discipline
- Experience and interest in areas of electrical design, embedded systems, control, or batteries is desired
- Genuine curiosity and willingness to understand how our products are designed, built, and operate
- Basic proficiency with electrical and electronic concepts (circuit analysis, digital logic, control systems, electronics or similar)
- Basic proficiency with a programming language (C, C++, Python, MATLAB, or similar)
- Knowledge or experience with test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, digital logic analyzers, digital multimeters, or similar)
- Proficient teamwork and communication skills
