What you'll do

The Waste & Recycling team is a part of the TJX Real Estate & Property Development Division. Through a dedicated team effort, the Real Estate group sources new locations throughout the US for Marmaxx, HomeGoods | Homesense and Sierra. Property Development, in turn, then designs, plans, constructs, fixtures and installs state of the art energy technologies to each location. We then maintain property management services to all stores.

As a member of the Waste & Recycling Team, you will direct all operational activities including compactor & baler equipment repair, waste & recycling services for all TJX US store locations, business relationships with related vendors, and the Administration team who handles the day-to-day work order activities. You will ensure customer service to all TJX store locations, manage resolution of complex and costly repairs, while considering the impact on spend, the environment, and store operations. Provides support and leadership development in alignment with TJX values and culture.

  • Direct daily activities including the resolution of escalated service issues.
  • Oversee the store Hazardous & Bio waste programs, including scheduling.
  • Manage relationships, performance, and expectations with all Waste haulers
  • Partner with specific brand leadership to manage and implement requests from existing stores to increase/decrease service levels
  • Coordinates special project requests from Operations.
  • Provide training and functional guidance on department and company procedures
  • Partner with Waste Analyst to receive reporting on vendor productivity and customer service performance to address issues adhering to contractual terms.
  • Runs proactive reports to help resolve reoccurring issues.
  • Reviews and validate vendor proposals & invoices in Service Channel.
  • Work with Waste Haulers, Transportation and / or Risk Mgmt. to capture all possible reimbursements.
  • Coordinates Arcadis Audits with Waste Vendors including issues POs and submitting invoices for payment
  • Manage annual permits to ensure they are kept current (where applicable, i.e. Hazardous waste, local dumpster permits, etc.
  • Ensure store compliance to the waste/recycling programs to drive towards our company wide Environmental Sustainability goals.
  • Team development including hiring, performance management and development.

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience
  • Experience managing a high volume of work orders
  • One year of Supervisory experience preferred
  • ServiceChannel or other facilities management software experience
  • Excel skills required including V lookups

This position has a starting salary range of $66,500 to $83,100 per year.

Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
