Senior Manager - Consumer Insights

The Opportunity: Contribute To The Growth Of Your Career.

The Senior Manager - Consumer Insights will lead insights for two key TJX brands. In this role you will be responsible for data and insight generation that guides brand strategy, segment/audience strategy, creative development/optimization, and marketing plan development to drive continued brand consideration and profitable growth. You will be responsible for understanding consumer sentiment and consumer perceptions of our brands, finding opportunities for customer growth, and providing insights on how to build the brand. The successful candidate should demonstrate strong analytics and research expertise, business acumen, and communication skills. The Senior Manager will work cross-functionally with a wide variety of partners, including other consumer insight leaders, brand marketing leads, external creative agencies, and merchant leads. You will also have responsibility to lead other insight leaders and oversee relationships with our outside research/analytics agency partners.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead research, analysis and insight generation for two key TJX brands acting as the passionate voice of consumer and business insights
  • Lead and oversee primary quantitative research studies (i.e. segmentation, category research), qualitative exploratory research, and creative testing
  • Lead and oversee secondary / retail category data to provide comprehensive view of macro trends and retail landscape
  • Integrate data and insights across various sources to determine overall implications and influence multiple partners with insights generated
  • Establish and refine our standard processes for the appropriate use of different research methodologies, interpretation of results, and delivery of value to the business
  • Develop other insight leaders and support management of external vendor relationships

Who We Are Looking For: You.

  • Bachelor's degree; 8+ years of proven experience in consumer insights, market research or analytics, including 4+ years leading and managing insight and analytic professionals / teams
  • Background in designing, analyzing and generating insights and action from both quantitative, including continuous/ongoing tracking programs, and qualitative research
  • Experience in guiding and influencing brand strategy, segment/audience strategy, creative development/optimization and marketing plan development based on insights
  • Passion understanding consumer needs, behaviors and trends and advocating for the consumer
  • Outstanding analytic skills with the ability to strategically analyze, dissect, and interpret data
  • Attention to details and able to grasp the big picture
  • Adept at presenting complex concepts in an easy to understand and actionable way
  • Strong project management skills and comfortable in working in agile, fast paced environment
  • Experience influencing across a broad array of internal and external partners
  • Experience with leading a team to develop, analyze, synthesize and communicate data and insights effectively
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office products and SPSS/Q/other data analytic tools

This position has a starting salary range of $111,300 to $144,800 per year.

Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
