The Opportunity: Contribute To The Growth Of Your Career.

As the Manager of Outbound Transportation, you will play a significant role in TJX's Logistics Supply Chain team. You will lead MMX transportation operations for the Northeast region of the United States. You and your team will also be accountable for all transportation crossdock activities outbound from the four MMX DCs in the northeast, whilst also partnering internally with DC operations to ensure successful partnerships with logistics. This includes developing and maintain a financial budget, crafting load forecasts, execution and strategically optimizing your network to maintain the efficient balance of cost management and performance metrics.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead transportation operations for processed goods shipped out of Marmaxx DCs in the Northeast Region (4 MMX DCs, 3 Transportation Manager direct reports and 4 Coordinator direct reports)
  • Financial accountability and strategic oversight for delivering optimal performance against established critical metric standards and effective cost management
  • Lead, coach, and mentor direct reports to develop them for future growth, whilst also encouraging a culture where inclusion and diversity drive innovation
  • Form effective relationships with key partners, founded on open communication and hardworking collaboration, to ensure overall execution of service and standards that result in increased TJX profitability
  • Identify and lead pivotal initiatives to optimize and continuously improve service and reduce costs
  • Drive peak season strategies and execution to support the exciting needs of the business, including contingency plans, as production plans fluctuate
  • Maintain and continuously improve SOPs and standard methodologies, using technology to streamline processes, reduce manual workload
  • Empower decision making and risk taking by setting clear expectations for your team, your peers, and your partners
  • In this role you will be encouraged to travel on a regular basis, ensuring you visit each DCs in your region at least quarterly, in addition to home office visits, Service Center visits and store visits as required

Who We Are Looking For: You.

  • 7 Year's validated experience in supply chain management role (operations / transportation)
  • 4+ years leadership experience with shown management and development skills
  • Strong understanding of transportation operations and the overall supply chain
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems and Yard Management Systems
  • Prior experience creating, maintaining, and completing a fiscal budget and strong cost leadership skills
  • Highly analytical approach to problem solving, using their outstanding Microsoft Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and a high interest in manipulating and making inferences from data
  • Experience applying metrics and data to drive decision making, with a process improvement & efficiency focus
  • A self-director who can work independently, lead their own timelines, and set priorities
  • Ability to influence others without authority and be responsible for the business with vision and strategy
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to build and be an extraordinary partner
  • Flexible and adaptable; priorities change frequently based on business demands, the ability to change direction quickly is essential
  • Ability to develop new tools and processes to support TJX global supply chain goals and objectives
  • Ability to travel as needed

This position has a starting salary range of $111,300 to $144,800 per year.

Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
