Location: Swindon

Hours: Monday - Friday (8:30-4:40pm)

Position Overview:

A Technical Support Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of technology products and services by providing technical assistance and support to customers. The primary responsibility is to fix and resolve technical issues! Offering guidance and solutions to end-users. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work jointly with multi-functional teams!

Responsibilities:

  • Working on our pharmaceutical production site with production and maintenance managers to generate maintenance strategies for existing and future production lines.
  • Offer 2nd line support, mentorship and expertise on maintenance engineering topics raised by the pharmaceutical production and maintenance department
  • Leading several maintenance related projects, ensuring actions are completed on target.
  • Working autonomously to generate, report on and deliver project plans for all own maintenance activities.
  • Working closely together with your counterparts on several other pharmaceutical manufacturing sites to align the processes on the different sites
  • Ensure cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) is applied in the maintenance work area and aligns with cGMP through following site SOP's (Standard Operating Procedure)
  • Offer guidance and support to a small team of engineers, to ensure compliance with sitewide preventative maintenance schedules
  • Ensure maintenance compliance with quality, environment, health and safety rules at all times.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Engineering degree qualified and or with suitable, demonstrable experience in a regulated industry - preferably in a pharmaceutical, food, (petro) chemical or avionics environment
  • Strong maintenance background
  • Ability to apply project management tools such as Microsoft Project, etc
  • Client facing experience preferred
  • Strong project ownership ethic with a "can do" demeanor.
  • Ability to motivate, communicate and lead multi-functional teams to deliver project timelines
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, and the self-confidence to use these skills to convince others to buy-into proposals and plans.
