As a Senior Financial Analyst within our organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Life Sciences Group (LSG) FP&A management reporting team. In this position, you will be responsible for driving key operating mechanisms such as forecasting, reporting, and strategic planning. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Finance, you will join a team dedicated to continuous improvement, process excellence and collaboration. This role holds significant visibility within our company, providing you with tremendous opportunities for learning and long-term career growth. Responsibilities:

  • Accurate and timely completion of month end close process for ~$7B LSG business
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Conduct variance analysis, comparing actual results against forecast and budgets, identifying trends, assessing KPI's and providing insights and recommendations to finance leadership
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, including but not limited to; consolidating Division submissions, loading Group forecasts, and facilitating tie out processes in a highly matrixed environment
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance financial reporting portfolio, identifying opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve insights
  • Leverage systems and tools to automate reporting processes wherever applicable, streamlining efficiency and accuracy
  • Become trusted partner for all LSG FP&A reporting and analytics
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and provide business insights to support leadership decision making

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a similar field
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in Finance
  • Comprehension of financial statements and how to use them to analyze a business
  • Independent, problem solver with a mindset for continuous improvement
  • High level of attention to detail and organization
  • Outstanding Excel and data analytics skills; demonstrates intellectual curiosity
  • Experience with Hyperion Planning, SmartView, or similar systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to communicate and collaborate with senior management
  • Experience in a complex, multinational, heavily matrixed organization
  • Embraces challenges in a continuously evolving environment

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103,100.00-$154,700.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
