The Role


We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior IT Auditor to join our Internal Audit team!
You will join a team of auditors and help ensure that we are in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Act ("SOX") requirements and own IT audits at various business units to ensure that strong IT controls over financial systems are in place. You will evaluate and report on the design & effectiveness of IT controls and compliance with SOX requirements. You will supervise the progress of remedial actions as identified and provide advice on process improvements. You will participate in audit and compliance related activities with Internal Audit and our external auditors.

This is a full time, permanent opportunity to be based at our Warrington (Manchester) office. Hybrid working opportunities available with 1 or 2 days onsite.

Key Responsibilities:


• Ensure SOX compliance by reviewing and testing IT controls for ERP's and supporting systems/applications.
• Work closely with control owners to ensure their control activities are appropriately designed.
• Assist with the management, development, and maintenance of documentation request lists in coordination with external auditors, and internal process/control owners.
• Identify potential exceptions/deficiencies and help develop appropriate remedial actions.
• Collaborate and coordinate with external auditors for the scheduling of SOX reviews and sharing of audit results.


Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, IT or related field required (or equivalent working experience) Advanced degree or professional certifications (such as CISA, CISSP, or CRISC) are highly desirable.
• Proven experience working in a SOX supervised industry/organization - public accounting experience a plus
• IT experience working with SDLC functions
• Experience in the IT audit of ERPs, databases, operating systems, and various supporting systems
• Understanding corporate accounting and the finance function is a plus.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to develop a high level of credibility and forge proven and positive professional relationships with peers, management, and outside parties.
• Focus on exceeding goals/expectations.
• Analytical mind/skills and an in-depth understanding of IT compliance, including IT general controls, application/automated controls, and key reports.
• Understanding of the role, structure, and functionality of major ERPs (SAP, E1, Oracle Financials) and systems such as OFM, Blackline, SFDC.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify control exceptions and recommend appropriate remediation strategies.
