What will you do:

  • Serve as the representative for software in program core teams, collaborating with colleagues from diverse functions such as molecular biologists, algorithm developers, and product managers. Translate custom needs into software product requirements and specifications, ensuring alignment with project timelines and comprehensive documentation.
  • Develop robust test plans and test cases to verify and validate software product requirements and specifications, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of NGS data analysis pipelines.
  • Spearhead algorithm testing for NGS data analysis pipelines and contribute to the development of verification tools to enhance testing automation coverage, thereby optimizing efficiency and reliability.
  • Resolve technical issues related to build deployment, resource management, and job scheduling within analysis pipelines, ensuring smooth operation and performance optimization.
  • Lead projects from inception to completion, demonstrating strong project management skills and fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

How will you get here:

Education

MS. or higher in Computer Science/engineering, Bioinformatics, Biomedical engineering, Statistics, EE or related fields, and 3+ Years related experience.

Experience

  • Experience in genomics and bioinformatics.
  • Proficiency in software design and development, with a deep understanding of software testing standard processes.
  • Strong command of Java, Python, Perl, and Linux/Unix environments, with experience in relational databases.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Demonstrated leadership in leading project completion. Good communication skills with scientists, engineers and software developers.
  • Strong interpersonal oral and written communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $104,600.00-$156,875.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
