Position Summary:

The Remediation Coordinator will exercise strong prioritization and time management skills to coordinate response efforts related to incidents and vulnerability remediation. Additionally, this role will coordinate with the owners of various operational metrics to drive improvement in the program's progress and overall security readiness. The best candidates for the role have a strong comprehension of incident response plans and coordination of activities, have strong verbal and written communication skills, a sense of tact, ability to anticipate obstacles, and decision-making skills to handle the fast-paced world of cybersecurity.

What will you do?

  • Coordinate efforts to cyber incidents caused by external threats that may involve non-standard working hours
  • Support various 3rd parties and coordinate efforts for incidents involving Thermo Fisher products, data or employees
  • Drive integration with other corporate programs to ensure consistency and alignment with peer support teams within IT.
  • Lead small to medium sized projects as directed by leadership
  • Be a champion for process and documentation. Develop and document processes to ensure consistent and scalable response operations and ensure continuous improvement to the company's incident response plan
  • Create ready-to-go draft communications and ensure timely reports/updates to leadership during and after an incident
  • Partner with leadership to develop KPIs and meaningful metrics across the CIS organization
  • Use strong analytical skills to see opportunities for improvement across the organization and partner with the relevant team(s) to drive closure to those opportunities

Keys to Success:

  • Clear command of the English language
  • Experience and competency with Incident Management Programs/Solutions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Solid understanding and demonstrable experience applying a risk-based approach to information security
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize duties based on shifting demands
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills - PowerBI experience a plus

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Assurance, Security, Management Information Systems, Risk Management or equivalent work experience acceptable

Experience

  • Strong communication skills are a must
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group, executives, managers, and authorities
