How will you make an impact

Direct the design of equipment within the PPA product portfolio to match client requirements in a manner which improve profitability. This will involve working with the commercial and sales teams at the bidding phase of projects as well as working Engineers and Operations on project execution. This position is also responsible for technical guidance on product developments within the product lines!

Key Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Own and promote a culture of "Safety First" and "Right First Time, On Time"
  • Maintain a safe work environment, a high level of safety awareness among associates, and implement 5S principles.
  • Meet customer satisfaction goals for timely delivery as well as ongoing quality and reliability standards, working closely with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Quality and Project Management functions.
  • Design systems to achieve the lowest Total Cost of Ownership, taking into account factors such as installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance.
  • Ownership of product sustaining requirements for all Process Analytics products, developing and implementing solutions to product issues working in collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and where needed customers.
  • Keep up to date with current industry standard methodology.
  • Provide product expertise as required to meet the objectives of the Engineering Project Team.
  • Provide advice to the wider organisation as a recognised SME
  • Provide support to the operations team in above activities in order to meet lead time, quality and other targets.
  • Be a part of the business PPI-Lean Enterprise program, certified to ISO 9001- Quality Management System (QMS) actively use practical process improvement (PPI) tools and 8-step methodology to evaluate (audit), identify, develop and implement improvements, and embrace the SQDC culture.
  • Support the Engineering Team as acting Engineering Manager when required.

What will you bring to our team?

  • Degree qualification in a Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent
  • Formal Electrical, Computer Science or Project Management studies are desirable
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in a related engineering role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or and experience working to engineering and AS/ISO standards, including the ISO 9001: Quality System.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and underlying theory.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering plant drawings and P&ID diagrams.
  • Presentation and communication skills to develop high levels of credibility with customers.
  • Self-motivated and committed with an ability to run schedules and maintain critical timelines.
  • Proficient user of 2D and 3D drawing packages (AutoCAD, SolidWorks preferred) and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to program PLC or exposure to control systems is ideal.
  • Demonstrated leadership for multi-disciplinary teams.
