Lead Trainer, Formulation Manufacturing

How will you make an impact

The Lead Trainer, Formulation Manufacturing, is responsible for coordination and execution of training in formulation manufacturing. Accountable for performance in safety, quality, and productivity for area and people assigned. Accountable for the development of formulator skill base through formal training program and continuous coaching. Responsible for adherence to Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations/ Quality System Regulation (QSR) guidelines, International Organization for Standardization (ISO) requirements and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

What will you do?

  • Educate, train, and coach employees in the safe and correct performance of duties within assigned operations value stream.
  • Track and plan execution of training for formulation manufacturing team.
  • Perform onboarding and training of new colleagues.
  • Coordinate new hire buddy assignments.
  • Help build Job Code catalog development, updates & maintenance activities.
  • Training plan development that aligns with training standards and value stream needs.
  • Partner with training team to coordinate and communicate training activities and projects.
  • Ensure the safe and proper performance of procedures associated with manufacturing.
  • Assist production associates with quality assurance questions and concerns.
  • Create and maintain a safe work environment by engaging the associates in reporting potential safety hazards, support of the EH&S guidelines, and continual emphasis on safe work habits and working conditions.
  • Perform regular Gemba walks and use results to develop training and coaching opportunities.
  • Provide input for performance evaluations. Support supervisor in daily activities when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's with relevant experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in manufacturing, preferably in formulations.
  • Demonstrated PC literacy including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, including technical and scientific language.

  • Strong interpersonal skills: Proven ability to establish rapport with trainees and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Safety: Dedication to cultivating a safety culture and adherence to safety protocols with all training activities
