What will you do?

In this position, you will perform operations related to the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products through equipment set-up, processing, clean up, and maintenance in compliance with all regulatory cGMP requirements and company procedures.

  • Learn the manufacturing and/or packaging process as assigned by following approved batch records, work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOP), etc.
  • Assemble, program, operate, disassemble, and clean various manufacturing and/or packaging equipment.
  • Clean the processing area, equipment, and utensils as required following SOP's and WI's. to avoid cross-contamination.
  • Complete documentation as required in the manufacturing and/or packaging of product.
  • Maintain work areas and performing job functions in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Batch Record instructions.
  • Assist with troubleshooting of equipment and process issues
  • Accurately follow production documents, standard operating procedures (SOP's) and current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs)
  • Oversee operation for deviations, quality risk, or mechanical problems and elevates issues as needed.
  • Identify safety, quality, and efficiency improvements and actively participate in personal development activities.
  • Perform duties in other work areas as required.

The work shift is 3 days a week, 12.5 hour shifts. We offer a variety of shifts including but not limited to: Monday-Wednesday 6:00am-6:30pm, Monday-Wednesday 6:30pm-6:00am, Thursday-Saturday 6:00am-6:30pm and Thursday-Saturday 6:30pm-6:00am. Candidates must be flexible to work mandatory overtime.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • This role requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Manufacturing operations experience (GMP facility or pharmaceutical production preferred).
  • Mechanical competence to disassemble, operate, and reassemble various types of equipment as well as troubleshoot.
  • Ability to follow cGMP and other regulatory requirements to maintain 100% compliance in SOP, cGMP, EHS and other training curriculum as assigned.
  • Basic reading comprehension and math skills necessary to follow complex technical instructions and complete BPR calculations.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills desired.
  • Positive proactive attitude, ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to manipulate/handle containers weighing up to 110 kg and lift containers weighing up to 40 kg.
  • Ability to hand-scoop 5 lbs. intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Job requires wearing personal protective equipment to include white zone gowning requirements and various styles of respirators (1/2 face, 3-M hood, full face, and dust mask).
  • Ability to learn to a fork lift and other mobile equipment to locate product and equipment as needed.

Constant:

  • Standing for extended periods at workstation or equipment.
  • Walking to move short distances quickly and frequently.

Frequent:

  • Stooping, Kneeling and/or Crouching - bending body, spine and/or legs.
  • Twisting/Reaching - turning at waist and extending hands and/or arms in any direction.

Occasional:

  • Sitting for extended periods at workstation or mobile equipment.
  • Climbing - use of feet, legs, hands and/or arms to ascend or descend.
  • Pushing and/or Pulling - using upper extremities to exert force.
  • Repetitive Motions - frequent motions of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Lifting - raising from lower to upper and/or moving objects horizontally - from 25 lbs, up to 50 lbs. and more than 50 lbs (with assistance)
