How will you make an impact?

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) performs instrumentation commissioning's, repairs and preventative maintenance (PM) on a variety of instruments in assigned territory. The FSE positively interacts with customers to solve technical problems and identify areas to improve their work.

Instrumentation includes: APIX, Prima PRO/BT, Sentinel PRO, SOLA II/iQ, and MAX FTIR.

A Day in the Life:

  • Provides onsite commissioning of instruments, repairs, upgrades, updates, and preventive maintenance.
  • Displays integrity, understanding, tact, fairness, and technical knowledge in all customer interactions.
  • Collaborates with internal partners to resolve customer issues and improve processes.
  • Follows all reporting responsibilities of Remote Service Dispatch (RSD) and Field Service Report (FSR) submissions.
  • Follows policies that pertain to the handling of spare parts: ordering, usage, returns, physical count, trunk stock management, etc.
  • Maintains their technical proficiency level for servicing our instrument line-up by reviewing instrument manuals/technical documents, attending trainings, and participation in team meetings.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, biology, chemistry, or a related field. Equivalent work experience and knowledge can substitute.

Experience

  • 3+ years of field service experience with related science, engineering, and customer service skills
  • Commissioning, preventive maintenance, and repair experience with spectroscopy instrumentation

  • Proven ability to use effective questioning to identify customer needs.
  • Self-motived and willing to act as a positive influence to the team.
  • Quickly adapts to change with positive and constructive feedback.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Texas is $28.85-$51.92.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
