Division: Unity Lab Services, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, provides critical on-site instrument services at customer locations. Our colleagues are passionate about improving customer experience and service operations efficiency.

We are looking for:

Job Title: Field Service Engineer (f/m/d) - Entry Level

Discover Impactful Work:

This is an excellent opportunity to start your career in our growing Field Service team and make a difference - you will receive comprehensive training from our colleagues to get you started with your development within Thermo Fisher Scientific.

The main focus of the role is Installation, Preventive Maintenance, and Instrument Qualification (PIQ) of Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry products within the territory listed above.

A day in the Life:

  • Collaborate with colleagues in our customer care center to efficiently schedule your service visits to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Install our products from our diverse Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry portfolio, demonstrate instrument specification and teach customers on use and maintenance.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and qualifications on customer instruments and help to improve instrument uptime and availability.
  • Detailed preparation and documentation of maintenance and qualification activities to meet regulatory requirements.

Keys to Success:

Education & Experience

  • Professional training or University degree (bachelor/master/diploma) in Science or mechanical/electronic/medical engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience in an analytical laboratory is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Curiosity about analytical instruments, systems, applications, new products and technologies.
  • Self-organized and efficient way of working.
  • Collaborative nature and positive appearance.
  • Good knowledge of local language and English and good communicator.
  • Good hardware and software skills especially of Windows operating systems and applications as well as Microsoft Office package.
  • Ability to travel within the designated area in the territory and occasionally within the EMEA region.
  • Valid driving license (Class B)
