Job Description

Location: The role is covering the South of the UK in a Remote / Field based position. The successful candidate can be based anywhere within the South of the UK but must be easily able to travel within a realistic commute to key locations such as London and Cambridge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide independently on-site and remote scientific application support & training support on flow cytometry instruments
  • Perform product demonstrations and training at customer or company sites; deliver product line specific pre-sales activities
  • Prepare and present seminars to wide array of audiences
  • Support the organization in the achievement of the regional commercial, service and support goals
  • Tackle customer partner concerns optimally through in-depth troubleshooting
  • Remain up to date with product and ground-breaking scientific know-how and work in line with our Support & Service Competencies
  • Play a meaningful role when introducing and supporting new products and applications

Keys to Success:

Education

MSc or PhD in Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Stem Cell Biology, Biotechnology or related scientific field

Experience

  • Experienced working with flow cytometry instruments
  • Laboratory experience to include expertise in sample preparation, compensation and accurate controls
  • Experience in presenting technical materials in written and verbal form

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical problems
  • Customer-facing experience is an asset; good commercial insight and demeanour required
  • Proven track record to read, analyse, and interpret common scientific and technical reports and apply mathematical and statistical data analysis
  • Strong communication skills; capable of interacting with a diverse population of internal and external contact in English

Travel:

  • Flexibility to travel throughout area of responsibility (50-75% of the time)
  • Valid driving license
