Location/Division Specific Information
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Operations Engineer professional. The role is in Tewksbury, MA, and will have a key impact on the success of the Compliance Test Solutions (CTS) Business Unit. CTS is the leader in providing ESD testing equipment that helps manufacturers meet their test requirements to help reduce catastrophic failure, ensure product quality, and speed time to market. CTS products have proven to be the most reliable and dependable in the world.

Discover Impactful Work:
The Operations Engineer II will launch the successful introduction of new products into the factory and field. They will contribute to the ongoing improvement of products and the processes used for operations and service. Throughout the lifecycle of our products, the Operations Engineering team implements quality, cost, and process improvements to increase customer happiness.

A Day in the Life:

  • Develops bench level test solutions to qualify PCBAs and electromechanical subassemblies.
  • Works closely with R&D to drive service and factory requirements in all phases of the Product Management Process (PMP).
  • Drives Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) on behalf of operations for all new products.
  • Defines Bill of Materials (BOM) structure for product development.
  • Defines and builds test, assembly, installation, and service procedures.
  • Crafts operations introduction plan and service introduction plan.
  • Trains Operations, Factory Support and Service personnel in new product build, test, install and repair procedures.
  • Together we will address problems with our Tools remotely and in person with team.
  • Responsible for engineering change orders (ECO) to support factory and service as needed.
  • Resolves factory or field issues as needed by interacting with the appropriate functional groups to achieve resolution on site or in field.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • University degree in Applied Physics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred, or a combination of technical education and experience that demonstrates the required skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

  • 0-3 years of experience in high-tech industry environment in service, development, or operations, or highly regulated.
  • Experience in semiconductor capital equipment operations and/or service preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Conduct system level integration for highly integrated CTS tools.
  • Able to address practical electro-mechanical systems using electrical schematics, DVM, oscilloscopes, function generators and spectrum analyzers.
  • Connect with operations for product documentation and vendor interactions that support the production and deployment of new or next-generation systems designs.
  • Knowledge of applications in the field of Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA)
  • Planning, organizing, prioritizing, and goal setting.
  • Detailed problem solving with a focus on quality and sustainability.
  • Achieves results, even under difficult situations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficient written and verbal skills in English and ability to effectively and impact fully report to multiple levels of the organization.
  • Must have ability to acquire a valid passport and travel regionally and internationally as required (0-25%).
