Contracts Pricing Specialist II

Location: Ottawa, Ontario

How will you make an impact?

A Contracts Pricing Specialist develops expansive knowledge of our Products, Customers and Services at the same time sharpening their business and financial skills. We collaborate across multiple business units and our supplier community to establish robust, lasting agreements with our customers. We are trusted advisors to the Commercial Team on contract/pricing matters. We elevate information into innovated solutions and support sales team on winning strategy to help drive deal closures.

What will you do?

A Contract Pricing Specialist II will:

  • Assist with the development and implementation of Customer contract proposals for the purchase and delivery of scientific equipment and supplies.
  • Customer reporting including key performance indicators, savings reports and business review preparation.
  • Review and prepare Customer contract pricing based on amendments to contract terms or contract extensions.
  • Pricing analysis and preparation of innovative responses to Customer requests for proposals (RFPs) including specifications, product sourcing and other requirements.

Education

  • B.Sc., B. Comm. or equivalent training. Prior knowledge of contracts or equivalent contract administration practical work experience, and expertise in a Finance related field

Experience

  • 1-2 years' experience in a fast-paced office or field environment where problem-solving and balancing multiple priorities is a day-to-day requirement.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent skills with MS Excel (VLOOKUP) are required; Experience with Cognos and PowerBI highly valuable. Proficiency in MS Office or comparable software package.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in compiling and analyzing sales & commercial information
  • General understanding of the concepts of profit, loss, EBITA and Return on Investment
  • Highly analytical and demonstrates problem solving abilities in addition to strong business sense
  • Data management experience and the ability to handle large sets of data and accurate reports
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is preferred.
