About the Role
This role is an integral part of the Marketing Department. The Marketing Department develops a meaningful and impactful relationship between the Port Authority and the customers we serve through strategic, data-driven, authentic engagement and dynamic storytelling across channels, earning their trust and enhancing the perception of our brand.
The Supervisor, Aviation Marketing conceptualizes, develops and delivers world-class marketing campaigns, from strategy to execution and performance measurement, that help the Port Authority convey its messaging and transform the perception of its airports. This role is also responsible for the development of campaigns that cut across business lines, such as recruitment. The Supervisor will develop approaches to communications grounded in data on the audience and media channels, framed by our brand strategy. Deliverables include digital animations and video edits.

Responsibilities:
- Develop marketing strategies, ad campaign concepts and execution plans to raise awareness of the transformation of the airports and manage the impact on their multiple stakeholders, as well as campaigns for objectives that cut across business lines such as recruitment.
- Proactively assess marketing needs and opportunities, delivering significant added value to the client by developing inspiring ideas for big tactics or other creative ideas that transform the perception of our brands.
- Become a subject matter expert in the aviation field, speaking compellingly to our own investments as well as the category and beyond, as we benchmark ourselves against best-in-class, customer-centric organizations from around the world.
- Deliver marketing programs with speed, rigor and efficiency. Frequently visit the airports to assess the state of a campaign or the need for new or better communications (assume potentially once per week on-site at one of the airports).
- Champion the optimization of the experience on the aviation websites, from experience design to content.
- Identify clear goals and objectives for the campaigns, with performance measurement.
- Serve as champion of the PA, its mission and its values. Develop trusted and valued relationships with various stakeholders to elevate the caliber of the work.
- Assess and recommend tactics and strategies for building efficiencies, streamlining operations, and enhancing the value we provide to the Agency. Identify innovative ways to build new best practices and push the business forward.
- Lead, inspire, and motivate a team of two, as well as other colleagues and cross functional teams in and beyond the Communications department, as well as our ad agency partners.
- Identify employee goals and conduct performance reviews.
- Mentor and coach direct reports to become stronger strategically, tactically, and interpersonally.
Qualifications:
Candidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or related field.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of five (5) years of experience in marketing, advertising, or relevant experience.
- At least 10 years of experience in building marketing or advertising plans.
- Proven experience in a marketing leadership role with several years of experience managing a team
