Analytics and Insights Manager

1 week ago New York, NY

Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Analytics and Insights Manager champions the use of data and insights to advance the transformation of the marketing team into a world-class strategic function that helps the Port Authority deliver its goals and priorities. Working across all lines of business (Air, Land, Rail, Sea), the Manager informs or sets the benchmarks of marketing campaigns and then assesses their performance, in partnership with our ad agency. Social media listening is another key responsibility in this role: analyzing and reporting on what customers tell us on multiple platforms, especially X. As we launch new, state-of-the-art airport websites in 2026, the Manager will help analyze their key success metrics and identify opportunities for optimization of features or content. The Manager should show voracious curiosity and become an advocate for the evolution of our systems and processes, leveraging new tools, including AI, to make our work stronger, more insightful, more creative and thus more efficient across the board.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the marketing project leads and our advertising agency to assess campaigns' objectives and develop measurement strategies to evaluate their success.
  • Help optimize the social media content and paid media plans by providing a variety of dynamic and insightful campaign performance reports across service lines (Aviation, PATH, Port, etc.).
  • Using the social listening platforms BrandWatch and Hootsuite: capture, process, analyze and disseminate customer feedback. Champion the Voice of the Customer. Provide real-time alerts of trending topics and issues about customer service/facility issues at times of disruption.
  • Using Adobe's Customer Journey Analytics: inform the optimization of our (upcoming) new airport websites. Study visitors' behavior and experience, exposing friction points and identifying innovation opportunities.
  • Plan, execute and optimize limited paid media campaigns on social platforms (primarily Meta), when the scale of the tactical budgets does not warrant doing these via our ad agency.
  • Monitor trending topics across the social media universe as well as industry-wide developments, including how AI is transforming data analytics.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in data sciences, marketing, or a related field from an accredited college or university
  • Experience in identifying and analyzing data to optimize digital experiences, online customer service or social media performance
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of related experience

Desired Qualifications

Ideal candidates will present the following profile:

  • Experience with BrandWatch, Hootsuite and Adobe CJA
  • Experience in data visualization
  • Strong writing skills
  • Self-starter, creative thinker who adds strategic value.
  • Detail-oriented, extremely organized, able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Selection Process

The application process varies by position but typically includes an initial phone interview for qualified candidates, followed by a more in-depth interview(s) and/or assessment(s). Selected candidates who are made a conditional job offer will be asked to undergo a background check.
