The Opportunity / Who We Seek

We are looking for an accomplished Senior Business Development and Marketing Operations Manager to join our team as part of our financial services business in the Cayman Islands.

 

The Cayman Islands is home to our global headquarters and where the Maples Group first established operations in the 1960s. Since then we have grown to become one of the largest employers in Cayman, where colleagues from all over the world collaborate to deliver best-in-class solutions to clients worldwide. As part of our Cayman team you will:

 

  • Manage the global business development and marketing operations, focusing on improving strategic business plan execution, internal service delivery, policies and process optimisation, and team performance enhancement.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to adapt and implement global strategies, ensuring alignment with local market dynamics and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage, monitor and evaluate budgets ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximise ROI.
  • Drive initiatives to optimise customer journeys and experiences, leveraging data analytics and customer insights.
  • Champion innovation and technology adoption to enhance operational efficiency, agility, and performance.
  • Ensure adherence to financial services regulations and compliance standards in all business development and marketing operations.
  • Work alongside project teams to lead or assist with change management implementation and processes.

 

What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in BDM operations, strategic planning, team development in a financial services or legal organisation.
  • Strong leader with the ability to work collaboratively and independently in a demanding environment.
  • Superior communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders and senior business development and marketing leadership.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and critical thinking abilities addressing operational and business challenges effectively.
  • Expertise in data analytics, process optimisation, and technology integration.
  • Change management experience would be a bonus.
  • Advance MS excel expertise for data visualization and analysis.
