About the Role 
Senior Data & Reporting Analyst reports to Vice President of Data Management Project Team and supports the execution of various projects mainly in but not limited to Asia. Analyst will also support fund administration core BAU (Business As Usual) functions. 
 
Primary responsibilities include:   
 
Project Execution 
  • Assist project manager on system and process-related projects by:
  • Research on existing processes and propose changes to enhance services, improve efficiency, and reduce operational risk
  • Establish project plans, organize meetings/trainings with stakeholders
  • Perform data analysis, cleanup, migration and system UAT (User Acceptance Test)
  • Liaise with internal and external users, SME, BSA and IT team to develop queries, reports, investor portal and to derive system/off-system solutions
  • Document change, process/procedure, and instruction manual
Fund Administration Support 
  • Based on the need of business, analyst is required to support various fund administration and data management operations including but not limited to:
  • Retrieve data and perform analysis for management/client reporting
  • Liaise with other function teams, ensuring services are delivered timely and accurately
  • Set up new Funds, Financial Accounts and other reference data in accounting systems
  • Troubleshoot errors and answer queries from users; report business and system issues to SVP or VPs; work with IT team and system vendors to resolve issues
  • Assist in design and implementation of automated processes to improve operations efficiency and control
  • Build loaders for loading trades or reconciling data; gather requirements, write specifications for custom reports and follow up testing
 
What You Bring 
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:  
 
  • Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, business, or computer/technology
  • 1 plus year relevant experience in fund administration. Fresh graduate will be considered for a junior position
  • Good English communication skill; Cantonese and Mandarin will be a plus
  • Strong problem solving skill and an analytical approach to issue resolution
  • Develop to become a system or process SME (Subject Matter Expert)
  • Strong Excel skill is an advantage; knowledge of scripting and SQL SSRS, experience with Advent Geneva or FIS Investran is nice to have.
