About the Role  

The Business Development Executive reports to the Regional Senior Business Development Executive with indirect reporting lines to the MaplesFS Executive Management Committee members and the Head of Business Development and Client Relationship Management. Its tactical responsibilities feed one larger objective: providing business development and client relationship management support and delivering market research/ business intelligence projects for Fiduciary Services in Europe in line with the firm's annual business goals. 

Primary responsibilities include: 


• Assisting with the preparation and management of annual business development plans and budgets for all fiduciary business units in Europe;
• Supporting relationship management and new revenue generation strategies; pipeline reviews, performance reports and ongoing database maintenance and analysis;
• Conducting strategic business development research and analysis, including research and analysis for target markets, trends, key clients, services and cross-selling opportunities;
• Liaising with global marketing representatives and senior business professionals to execute cross-selling initiatives, share best practices and ensure there is consistency and coordination across all business development and marketing efforts in Europe;
• Assisting with internal and external marketing campaign ideation with a strong focus on driving awareness and generation of leads;
• Assisting with the drafting of client pitches, RFPs, and presentations; governing brand standards and maintaining the repository of all files;
• Coordinating senior professionals' marketing trips, participation at conferences and seminars and hosting events; and
• Carrying out any other duties which may be required from time to time. 

Business Management 


• Identifying and monitoring trends in the financial services industry and translating them into business development opportunities;
• Ability to think and act strategically and manage administrative/operational activities effectively with minimal direction;
• Consistently producing high volumes of work with solid controls/respect for details whilst a maintaining a proficient performance on the job;
• Being able to generate original ideas, find more efficient/effective ways of doing jobs and make valuable suggestions for improvements; and
• Effectively planning and organising work, showing an ability to meet deadlines reliably. 

Training and Development 


• Consistently demonstrating an expert understanding of targeting and lead generation with the ability to recommend both strategic and tactical initiatives in line with the company's business strategy;
• Demonstrating a commitment to acquiring new capabilities, constantly striving to improve performance; and
• Proactively seeking out and taking advantage of training and development opportunities. 

What You Bring  

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
• a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or a related field is preferred;
• a minimum of 4+ years' experience in professional services marketing, sales operations, or related legal or financial services industry;
• ardent business acumen with superior data analysis skills to measure and report on business performance results and other strategic initiatives/ lead generating campaigns;
• strong experience with CRM systems and superior proficiency in MS applications, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
• excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of senior management and staff;
• excellent project and time management skills and highly organised and detail-focused with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously;
• Comfortable following and reinforcing policies and procedures;
• Self-motivated with a tremendous can-do attitude;
• Self-starting with a proactive approach and a supportive team player attitude;
• Possess the Initiative to work independently in a self-directed environment.
